St Michael in the City, helping the homeless of Liverpool.
Over the past couple of years, St Michael's has become involved in trying to make a difference to the lives of homeless people in our city.
We collect large quantities of food and warm clothing which are given to the homeless every Thursday night by a project run in our sister parish of St Bride's, Percy Street.
St Michael's also works together with the Church of England Children's Society's "Liverpool Accomodation Project", providing some of the necessities for young people moving out of care or hostel accomodation and into their own flats.
St Michael's is part of the Streetfaith network, bringing together faith communities with professional and voluntary agencies seeking to make a difference to the lives of homeless people in Liverpool.
